‘Coal - is it worth it?' is a new documentary by veteran filmmaker John Davis who tragically died in a helicopter crash while trying to expose damage caused by the Shenhua coal mine. His family and friends completed the film in his memory.

The film exposes the environmental damage wrought by coal mines and asks us…is it worth it?

This special Parliamentary screening of the film will be followed by the presentation of the inaugural 'Climate Champion' award.

The award honours John’s legacy by recognising outstanding contributions to the fight against coal and coal seam gas mining in NSW and for a safe climate for the future.

The award is co-sponsored by NSW Greens MPs Justin Field and Jeremy Buckingham.

The evening will include a keynote address from NSW Greens MLC, Jeremy Buckingham.

$40 entry includes canapés and drinks.
